What is the OMG shot?

The OMG shot is a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment option to alleviate symptoms of female sexual dysfunction such as:

  • Skin laxity

How is the OMG shot performed?

The procedure uses PRP to stimulate the growth of new cells in the vaginal walls and clitoris.  The platelets naturally generate tissue and increase sensitivity to stimulation. A numbing cream is first applied to the vagina.  Then, blood is drawn from a donor site (typically the arm) the same way blood would be drawn for a lab test.  Then, the sample is placed in a centrifuge to isolate the PRP and the resultant growth factors.  The initial process takes about 10 minutes.  Next, using a very thin needle, the growth factors are injected near the clitoris and into the upper vagina into an area that is most effective for eliciting a healthy sexual response.  Being that these areas are treated with a powerful numbing cream, the injection causes little to no pain.

Arousal Cream, which also goes by the name of Scream Cream, is a topical cream that, when applied to the clitoris or external genitalia, can increase blood flow to the applied area and has been reported to improve sensitivity and rates of orgasm. Compounded from a mixture of prescription products, Arousal Cream is designed to act locally without substantial absorption into the bloodstream. This cream is rapidly absorbed through the skin and is composed of six different medications which include aminophylline, ergoloid mesylate, L-arginine, pentoxifylline, sildenafil citrate, and testosterone. This synergistic medication draws upon the properties of each ingredient (one bronchodilator, four vasodilators, and the potent sex steroid hormone testosterone) that can enhance female sex drive and sexual stimulation.  There are 5 different formulas available.

Peak Performance Shot $$$

The Peak Performance Shot is designed to deliver lasting improvements in sexual performance for men. Unlike many of the other treatments for male sexual dysfunction you don’t have to fear side effects, such as stroke, headaches, heart attacks or erections that last for hours. After having the Peak Performance Shot, many men experience improved sexual function and a boost in desire as well. The procedure begins with a quick and easy blood draw. Then, using a proprietary technique, the growth factors are extracted from the blood and concentrated into the PRP. The PRP is then injected into areas of the penis that are most important for sexual response. These areas are numbed with a local anesthetic cream before injection, yielding little or no discomfort during the procedure.

How does the Peak Performance Shot work?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains growth factors that have regenerative abilities that aid in tissue growth and the formation of new blood vessels.  When circulation within the penis is improved, the outcomes include stronger erections, increased sensation and pleasure, and enhanced sexual performance. Some men report changes in girth and length of the penis. Many of these benefits are experienced immediately after receiving the injection. And, because the treatment uses the patient’s own blood-derived plasma, it is non-allergenic and free of harmful side effects.

Several intracavernous injectable compounds are available to address male sexual health challenges. Each mix is composed of specific medications meant to treat the different variables that can lead to sexual dysfunction.  This injectable treatment is self administered as a penile injection. Injectable compounds are now considered the go-to treatment if a patient is not responsive to conventional PDE5 inhibitors.

Alprostadil, also known as Prostaglandin E1, is a medication that has been shown to be of benefit in the management of ED. It is a potent vasodilator and it exerts its effect by dilating the vessels of the corpus cavernosum. When administered locally into the penis, it relaxes the smooth muscles of the corpus cavernosum and dilates the cavernosal arteries, thereby leading to penile tumescence. It is metabolized quickly, with over 80 percent of it being metabolized after circulating round the body just once. Additionally, it has a short half-life, lasting about 5 – 10 minutes.

Atropine sulfate has been used successfully in many studies in conjunction with vasoactive agents in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, when given as an intracavernosal injection. Atropine sulfate works by inhibiting the nervous system receptors that control smooth muscle and endothelial relaxation.

Papaverine is a drug that causes blood vessels to expand and produce an erection by allowing for increased blood flow to the penis. This drug was one of the first effective therapies for erectile dysfunction administered by penile injection. Papaverine works by inhibiting phosphodiesterase and acts to improve erectile capacity.

Phentolamine is classified as an alpha-adrenoceptor antagonists. Noradrenaline affects the smooth muscle tone of the penile tissues by keeping the corpora cavernosa in a contracted state. By blocking the functional noradrenaline receptors, the alpha-adrenoceptor, erectile response can be achieved. Phentolamine also blocks 5-HT receptors, inducing the release of histamine from mast cells. Some studies also show that NOS activation could possibly be involved in another mechanism, inducing increased vasodilation.

These medicines can be given as stand-alone injections or in combination depending on the particular challenge. The pricing for these compounds are as follows:
